Joseph Calabrese never imagined seeing one of his film
scripts end up as a comic, but the times in Hollywood have
changed as more and more films are coming from the comic
world. So, in 2007, Joseph began transforming his acclaimed
fantasy action screenplay, "The Eyes of Mara" into
the 3-part limited series and graphic novel, "Her
Majesty's Bulldog Brigade." Joseph looks forward to
the possibility of furthering the adventures of Lt. Jonathan
Harrows and the Bulldogs for an ongoing series in 2009.
As a working screenwriter for seven years now, Joseph has
optioned several original screenplays and has won awards for
his work, including a win at the prestigious Slamdance Film
Festival for his religious thriller, "Second
Coming," and various finalist spots for "The Eyes
of Mara" at nearly a dozen film festivals and major
writing competitions.
